I am a corporate America refugee who traded decades of boring meetings and office politics for meaningful, hands-on work with homes and the people who buy and sell them.

I have been a licensed real estate professional for more than 20 years, and since leaving the corporate world in 2016, I have performed thousands of licensed home inspections throughout the triangle area. The combination of education (BS Engineering and MBA from Duke), business experience, and time spent in, over, and under real homes gives me a practical understanding of how houses are built, how they age, and how issues impact real estate transactions. Whether you are buying or selling, my goal is to reduce uncertainty, add clarity, and help you make informed decisions with confidence.

Find Another Broker That Knows More About Houses … I’ll Wait

Take your time. Browse reviews, quiz a dozen agents, ask if they’ve ever been in a crawlspace, and compare neighborhood knowledge. If you can, find someone who:

  • Can point out structural red flags from curbside

  • Knows how to prioritize and investigate repairs

  • Knows how to hold builders accountable

  • Has a bank of reliable contractors and inspectors who return calls

  • Can value the property appropriately given its condition

Buying or selling a home is as much a technical as emotional process. It takes more than enthusiasm to protect your investment and your timeline. Experience matters: reading a property report, spotting deferred maintenance, navigating disclosures, and negotiating repairs - these are everyday tools for a seasoned broker. I’ll admit, I’m not a great judge of interior design, but I’ve got people for that too.

What you should expect from a broker

  • Local market insight beyond averages - what’s popular and why

  • Clear explanations of risks and costs, not just rosy projections

  • A network of trusted professionals (inspectors, contractors, lenders, attoryneys)

  • Negotiation that prioritizes your long-term equity, not just a quick sale

  • Timely communication and realistic timelines

If you want confident guidance grounded in real experience, lets start the conversation.

  • For 20+ Years

  • More than 1500 homes in the Triangle

  • Sales, Marketing and an MBA
